*LIVE UPDATES* UFC 209 Official Results

Matthew Wells

Live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada is UFC 209: Woodley vs. Thompson 2.

The second Pay-Per-View event of 2017 for the UFC features two title fights including on of the most anticipated rematches in the history of the sport as UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley is set to face off against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson for the second time.

The pair first met at UFC 205 in New York City in a hotly contested battle that was ultimately ruled a Majority Draw after five rounds. Both men had their highlight moments and they took away Fight of the Night honors, yet the true score remained unsettled as there was not a clear winner on the judges’ scorecards. This time, in Las Vegas, Woodley and Thompson will battle it out again to determine a decisive owner of the welterweight strap.

The co-main event of the evening was originally scheduled to feature an interim title bout in the lightweight division between #1 Khabib Nurmagomedov and #2 Tony Ferguson. However, due to health issues of Nurmagomedov, he was unable to weigh-in on Friday and as a result, the bout has been scrapped.

The new co-main event of the evening will see Lando Vanatta face David Teymur, a pair who have shown a lot of tension between each other all fight week.

Also getting a huge opportunity to make a statement on the Pay-Per-View card is Amanda Cooper and Cynthia Calvillo who had their fight moved from the UFC Fight Pass prelims to a big slot on the main card.
