Tom Breese vs. Oluwale Bamgbose set for UFC London

Published

on

It has just been announced that Tom Breese will take on Oluwale Bamgbose at UFC London in the O2 Arena, Saturday, March 18th. Sources close to MMA Latest News confirmed the bout. This Middleweight fight is now the 7th fight to be added to the card with UK fans still eagerly awaiting an announcement of the Main Event for the card.
Tom Breese (10-1) saw his unscathed record take its first hit last time out when fell short to a very close split decision loss against Sean Strickland at UFC 199. Prior to his first career loss, Breese was on top form in the UFC, winning three fights on the trot attracting a lot of hype to the Englishman. In his first two UFC fights, Breese made a big impact on fans by knocking out Luiz Durta Jr. and Cathal Pendred in under a round. His victory against Pendred was also enough to earn him a coveted Performance of the night bonus. Following his initial success in the promotion, he topped it off with a one-sided victory over Keita Nakamura in front of a loud London crowd.
Breese will now be hoping to return to that form in front of his home crowd once again and get his winning form back going again.
Standing across from the Englishman will be the  “Holy War Angel”, Oluwale Bamgbose. The sizable Middleweight, Bamgbose, will be aiming to come to London and spoil the party for Breese by beating him in his own backyard.
Bamgbose has had a rough start to his UFC career so far with his sole win within the organisation sandwiched between two losses. His first literally coming from the hands of Uriah Hall who finished him via TKO (Punches) in the first round. After suffering his first career loss he bounced back quickly and impressively with an incredible KO over Daniel Sarafian in exactly one minute into the fight. Coming off a loss in his last fight, he now looks to bounce back just like his opponent is in this fight. This has the potential to be one cracking fight as both these hard hitting strikers go toe to toe in London, March 17th.
With the announcement of this fight this is what the card is currently looking like:
Francimar Barroso vs. Darren Stewart
Joseph Duffy vs. Reza Madadi
Teemu Packalen vs. Marc Diakiese
Arnold Allen vs. Makwan Amirkhani
Scott Askham vs. Brad Scott
Jimi Manuwa vs. Corey Anderson
Tom Breese vs. Oluwale Bamgbose

Ovince Saint Preux Steps in to Face Corey Anderson at UFC 217

Published

on

UFC 217 just got even more interesting. Earlier this week, Patrick Cummins pulled out of his light heavyweight matchup with Corey Anderson due to a Staph infection. Corey “Overtime” Anderson was not happy with his opponents decision, even calling out his opponent on Instagram asking how Cummins could, “call it quits so far from fight night”.

The UFC left Anderson on the card, and he found an opponent through the magic of Twitter. Ovince Saint Preux tweeted out directly to Anderson stating:

It didn’t take long for Anderson to respond agreeing to the fight, tagging Mick Maynard and Dana White in his response.

Only a few short hours later, the fight announcement came from the official UFC twitter account.

This top 10 Light Heavyweight matchup should add to an already amazing card coming in November at Madison Square Garden. Saint Preux is coming off of back to back wins both due to the very rare von flue choke, he finds himself ranked #7th in the latest edition of the 205-pound rankings. Corey “Overtime” Anderson is 4-2 in his last 6 fights, but is coming off a brutal first round knockout loss to Jimi Manuwa in March.

With such a exciting fight added to this card, what do you see happening November 4th?  Will Corey Anderson bounce back and look to jump into the top 5 of the rankings, or will Ovince Saint Preux go for a third straight von flue choke? Let us know.
